I grew up in Michigan, living with my grandparents, and watching my grandfather work well into his 70s taught me something I carry with me to this day. He loved what he did, but when he finally retired, I saw a different version of him: lighter, happier, more present. He spent time with my grandmother in a way he never could before. His only regret? That he didn’t retire sooner. He didn’t realize he could have, no one had ever shown him the path. That’s what led me here. I wanted to be the person who helps others see what’s possible, to retire confidently, without regret.

A Career Built on Clarity and Connection

I’ve been in this business for 20 years, and it’s all I’ve ever done. I studied economics and history at the University of Michigan, earned my master’s in finance from Wayne State University, and have spent the past two decades meeting with clients, designing personalized strategies, and helping people make decisions that reflect what they truly want from life. What keeps me going is simple: I love learning people’s stories. Every client has a different background, different goals, and different fears. Figuring out how to help each person get where they want to go, that’s what makes this work meaningful.

Life Beyond the Numbers

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll most likely find me outside. My wife Laurie and I own a mountain biking company and I am the head coach sharing my love of riding on dirt with others. We are lifelong horse people too, which is where the Triple Crown name came from. If I’m not on a bike or helping with the horses, you’ll probably find me lifting weights, snowshoeing, or hiking somewhere in New England.

Why I Do What I Do

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to helping people find balance — in their finances, their work, and their lives. I started in this business because I’ve always believed that money should be a source of confidence, not stress. And for 20 years, I’ve made it my mission to help clients feel that sense of confidence every day.

What I love most about financial planning is that it’s personal. The numbers are important, of course, but what matters more is listening — really listening — to what people want their money to accomplish. Helping someone feel in control of their future, often for the first time, is one of the greatest rewards of this work.

If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s this: I got into this business to help people retire without regret. If you’re wondering whether you’ve saved enough, when you can afford to step away from work, or how to make what you’ve built last, let’s talk. After 20 years of helping clients navigate these decisions, I’ve seen what’s possible — and I’d love to help you see it too.
